Disorganized Sports (DS) is a FREE drop-in style sports program that happens at school.
DS can be either before school, during lunchtime, or after school depending on the schools and what works best for their students. DS usually happens in the school gym, and is for students in grade 6 through to 12.
At DS approved adult volunteers will supervise and lead the gym time. *Students must have parental permission before they can attend DS.
At each DS we include a short “thought for the day” called “Coaches Corner”. The “Coaches Corner” is a 5-minute discussion that teaches moral values from a Christian perspective. Topics include things such as disrespect, irresponsibility, lack of restraint, giving into peer-pressure, and low self-esteem. These topics are often chosen by the students.
DS has the same rules as most classrooms. We work closely with schools to enforce these rules:
1. No put downs or bullying
2. No swearing
3. Respect everyone and their personal space
4. Play Hard… Play Fair… Play Safe
